Winter in Rochester

So, it is really winter in Rochester. We have approximately 2 feet of snow and yet it continues to snow! It would not be so bad if it was not for the wind! Yeesh is that a killer!

Olivia loves it this year though. If you remember from a post last year she screamed the entire time we had her in the snow for the first time! HAHA it was quite funny, well for mama and daddy! :-)

Lorelei is great! She continues to grow by leaps and bounds and changes everyday. It amazes me just how much she changes overnight. Her personality is really coming out. And I must say "lookout"....she can be a lil stinker.

I give her a bath each night in hopes it will relax her so she will have a great nights sleep. She is still sleeping through the night but I would like for her to relax before bed. It just has not been enjoyable for her, the poor lil thing screams through the entire thing. That is probably why she sleeps through the night.....LOL.......anyway, last night was the first night she did not think she was being deep fried! So of course we took some pictures.

I also believe it is time to either change the name of the blog, if I can even do that, or create a new one since this blog is really about my family now! I will keep everyone posted if anything changes.

Well the lil one is waking up so I will close for now.

Love to everyone!

Time for some updates

So, it has been a really long time since I have posted anything to the blog! I am not even sure where I should begin!

I guess the biggest surprise of the year was the arrival of our second little miracle! Miss Lorelei Grace made her magical arrival 9/27/08 at 4:38 am @ 5lbs 3oz. Lets see for those of you who may not even know, Chris and I found out I was pregnant on Valentine's Day this year!! Now, that is what I call a Valentine's present!! Forget the flowers and candy!

Olivia is doing well with her little sister! In fact, she loves her baby sister! She has truly blossomed into a beautiful and loving little girl! All she wants to do is help and give her baby sister hugs and kisses. Her speech has also blown up this year. She can now carry a conversation with you! And man you better pay attention too! :-)

Little Lorelei came into the world 3 1/2 weeks early but thankfully healthy! She just wanted to make sure that she has the same birth date as her Mama and big sister, we are all 27th girls! HA that is the way it should be!

A few updated pics for now...will update some more later! My girls are waking up :-)

Life's Precious Moments

There have been many thoughts tumbling through my head today. Olivia turned 22 months old yesterday and I realize just how much she has grown and changed. It is hard to remember a time when there were no toys, shoes, diaper, bibs, lotion, babies, and Olivia all over the house! I would not change it for the world! I am very thankful and gracious for all God has given me and my family. Without him none of this would be possible. I have always had a strong faith in God but since Olivia is has grown even stronger. I realize just what a miracle I have been given.

It reminds me of:

Psalms 127:3 "Children are a gift from God, they are a reward from him."

I Samuel 1:27 "I prayed for this child and the Lord has granted what I asked him for"

2 Corinthians 9:15 "Thanks be to God for his indescribable gifts!"

How true, how true!

My life has changed in a way I could never imagine. I feel grounded and safe when I am in the midst of my family God has so graciously given me. When I feel down, sad, tired, overwhelmed, anxious, or anything all I need to do is look into my little girls eyes and all is right with the world! Chris and Olivia truly make my day shine.

I love my family!

Winter Blahs and Ickies...

Happy New Year...I know it is late but oh well.

Christopher, Olivia and I had a wonderful holiday season. We spent Thanksgiving and Christmas with Chris's parents in New York and then traveled to my Mom's in VA for my brothers wedding on December 29th. Olivia did really well in the car for 10 hours - each way. The only time she was cranky was during the early stages of nap time when she could not get comfy!

Olivia has been very ill. She picked something up from day care cuz 4 of her other classmates are in the same meds. Olivia is currently taking Amox and is on a breathing treatments for asthma. We hope the asthma is from the illness she has and not long term. Poor baby. She is finally coming back to her old crazy self!

My school classes begin tomorrow. GOOD GRIEF what am I thinking?? I am only taking 1 class, accounting, so that I can get back into the swing of things. Work, baby, school, household....you get the idea.
Well, that is all for now, this mama is tired and going to bed!
Blessings to everyone!
