Travel Dates

Good Morning everyone!! A short and sweet update--we finally have travel dates!

We leave Rochester 7/19, arrive in China 7/20 and Miss Olivia Jade will be in Mama and Daddy's arms on 7/23!! Our consulate appointment is set for 7/31 and we should be home on 8/2!!

An interesting side note, when making the reservations for the return flight, we needed to make sure we had Olivia Chinese name correct on her ticket. Her ticket must be in Chinese as this is how it will appear on her passport. Well the nice gentleman we were talking to asked us if we knew what her Chinese name meant. Her Chinese name is Chun Miao Hoa. Of course, I have done some research on her name but getting it from a great source was perfect. Her Chinese names means "blossom in the Spring Season"!! How perfect!!

Once I have an official itinerary I will post so everyone will know when and where we will be!!

Travel Invitations!!

Olivia Jade mama and daddy are coming to get you!!

Our agency sent the email this morning that we have so longed for...TRAVEL!!

We have one main guide while in China so our consulate appointment will not be until the end of July but we would still be leaving somewhere around the middle of the month!! YEP, middle of the month as in middle of July!!

BREATHE!!

After all the excitement I realized that I still do not have a car seat! And since my mamma does not think duct tape will work I guess I better get going huh??

Finally LOA

Good evening everyone...since I am not soooo technically advanced it has taken me a few to actually get the blog up and running.



Chris and I are now in the final countdown for Olivia. We are officially LOA as of 255pm 6/06/07. This means that China has reviewed all documents in our file and we are waiting on Travel approval. This is affectionately called TA. Although we do not have a date, I am guessing that we will get TA early July and be in China by end of July! WOWZERS!! I was somewhat calm up to this moment, now I am in a frenzy moment. A friend of mine said that I will not sleep until she is home! Boy has that rung true!! I packed and unpacked Olivia's suitcase in my dreams last night! I just know I am going to forget something!

We have our "travel meetings" set up with some new found friends from our agency! Let me just quickly say "Sharon you are a lifesaver". We will be traveling with Sharon and Marty! I am very much looking forward to this, someone who has been there before. We will be in different provinces to begin with but the final chapter to the trip we will be together!
